THM is always on the improve! We've now launched our newest feature in the form of the Class Move Indicator.

It now takes nothing more than a swift glance to identify whether each horse is moving up (^), down (⌄) or racing in the same (-) class compared to its previous race. This means there's zero manual work required from you. Check out this new addition to the Class tab on all The Horse’s Mouth racecards.

Moving Up

Progressive horses climbing through the handicap ranks will be forced to move up in class following Official Rating increases imposed by the handicapper. This will happen off the back of a strong performance last time out.

The upwards indicator will highlight those horses in good recent form and potentially still on the improve. This time they'll be facing stronger opposition though, it's your job to decide whether they've got the mettle for it.

Dropping Down

Any horse moving down in Class is sure to find the race easier than the one it competed in last time. Remember, lower class races contain lower rated rivals. A decreasing Official Rating will allow a horse to drop in class, but be wary that the horse could be out of form.

However, perhaps the recent race conditions haven't suited a particular horse and its recent poor performances can be excused? Identifying horses that may bounce back to form after a drop in class can offer strong punting opportunities.

You won't be judged for being a shrewdie and adding this new feature to your Custom Racecards. We can see that many of you have already! This is just the start, stay tuned for more enhancements on the way.
