Day 3 of the Ebor Festival brings us the Group 1 5f Nunthorpe Stakes, open to horses aged 2 years and above. It’s been 18 years since a 2 year old won, however there are a couple in this year’s contest with decent chances. The card is now available on tomorrow's racecards, so let's have a look at some form.

Starting off on our THM Score and ordering from highest to lowest last time out - Arizona Blaze (9/2) takes top spot, followed by JM Jungle (11/1), Sayidah Dariyan (13/2), Washington Heights (16/1) and She’s Quality (9/1), who all posted THM Scores into the 800’s last time out.

Topping the field on our Average Speed Analysis is Sayidah Dariyan, who ran 3.03kph faster. This was at York, but over 6f, and he is yet to win over the 5f trip. Next is Washington Heights, who ran 2.34kph faster. This was at York over 5f. We also have Spicy Marg (16/1) and Lady Iman (9/2) – the 2-year-old’s of the field who ran 1.79kph and 1.42kph faster than their respective THM Standard averages last time out. They also have considerable weight allowances and will only be carrying 8st2. This is nearly 2 stones less than most their rivals will be carrying.

4 horses in the field have recorded wins at York before - Sayidah Dariyan, JM Jungle, who has placed in a whopping 7 of his 11 starts at the track. Washington Heights and Celandine (28/1) also have wins to their name.

From a distance perspective, only 3 horses in the field are yet to record a win over the 5f trip – Sayidah Dariyan, Night Raider (11/1) and Celandine. This presents the biggest question mark for these contenders.

The ground is set to be Good To Firm tomorrow and there is plenty of winning form on offer. Those yet to record wins are market leaders Arizona Blaze and Lady Iman, Mgheera (11/1), Night Raider and Kerdos (50/1).

Best of luck!
