It’s shaping up to be an electrifying renewal of the King George with much of the field bringing strong claims. So, let’s take a look at where the data points us…

Gaelic Warrior and Fact To File topped our THM Score last time out, both recording an impressive 885 when they went head-to-head at Punchestown in a thrilling finish.

That contest was run on Soft to Heavy ground, whereas tomorrow’s race will be on much firmer going. On Good ground, the standout scores are Gaelic Warrior’s 848 back in April and Jango Baies figure from his latest run at Ascot.

From a course perspective, none of the current top three in the market have raced at Kempton before. Banbridge stands out here, boasting a perfect 2-from-2 record at the track. The Jukebox Man, Il Est Français, and Master Chewy have also registered wins around Kempton.

When it comes to distance form, however, Gaelic Warrior really sets the benchmark. He’s unbeaten over similar trips, going 3-from-3, and while others have wins at the distance, none match his consistency or strength of form.

So… the big question — who wins?

Based on the scores from his last two runs, including one on Good ground, we’re siding with Gaelic Warrior. He’s won his last three starts, two of them at Group 1 level, and in our view brings the strongest overall form into the race.
